Tucked away in one of Cornwalls hidden valleys you will discover Melinsey Mill. This local family business is run from a restored 16th century watermill.
Melinsey is a one off, a wonderfully Cornish mixture of eccentricity and charm. According to county records there has been a mill on the site since 1210 .
By car we are sign posted off the A3078 from Tregony towards St Mawes, approximately a quarter of a mile past Ruan High Lanes. If you are in the village of Veryan, follow the road towards St Mawes by turning right past the New Inn pub. Carry on along the road passing Veryan Social Club until you reach the bottom of the valley. We are nestled there.
Walking park at the larger car park at Pendower beach and follow the ancient path through the woods. In the spring, bluebells and wild anenomies carpet the ground, later wild roses and honeysuckle scent the air. At the end of the walk turn right, along the road you will find Milensey Mill. The walk only takes 20 - 30 minutes but it can be a little muddy and uneven in places.
